Highly skilled soloists will participate at the Festival, like Katia Borissova (Mozarteum Salzburg), Goran Filipec (pianist from Croacia), Dario Volonte (tenor from Argentina), Vera Cirkovic (Mezzo-Soprano from France), Einar Stehen-Nokleberg (pianist from Norway), Virginia Luque (guitar, Spain), Valentin Surif (pianist from Argentina), etc.
Many chamber-music groups – like „Sphera Antiqva“ from Spain, the „Trio Interarte“ vom Sao Paolo/Brasil and music groups from Argentina will enchant the public with there beautiful concerts.
A wonderful highlight in 2010 will be the „Requiem of W.A. Mozart“. It will be performed with the CHOIR OF THE USHUAIA-FESTIVAL and the USHUAIA PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA with 4 soloists from Italy.
A world premiere-piece will be conducted by Maestro Luca Garbini from Italy, who discovered in the Music University of Santa Cecilia in Rome a composition by GIOVANNI FRANCESCO ANERIO (1567-1630). This speciel concert will be realized in cooperation with the Vatican-State and the Government of Italy.
The Ushuaia International Festival is under the auspices of very important international institutions like the Government of the City of Salzburg (Austria), the Province of Salzburg (Austria), the Embassy of Austria, the Embassy of Russia, the Embassy of Croacia, The Embassy of Germany, University of Arts Graz (Austria) and many private sponsors.
As well the Festival is under protection of the Government of Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego and the President of Argentina.
